Dr Edward de Bono presented a phrenologist head to Bob Rawlinson for the opening of the Edward de Bono Foundation UK offices in Manchester.

The Foundation was delighted to be able to welcome Dr de Bono to its new UK office in Manchester on 17th April 2007. After formally opening the offices, Dr de Bono, pictured above with Foundation Chief Executive Robert Rawlinson, delighted an audience of invited business and education leaders with a stimulating and humourous presentation - with not a powerpoint slide in sight.

The Edward de Bono Foundation UK is working closely with the Northwest Development Agency to improve thinking skills in the region and was able to facilitate the Agency in securing Dr de Bono as the keynote speaker at the official launch of its North West Science Strategy at Astra Zeneca's R&D HQ at Alderley Edge, Cheshire later that day.

This event was hosted by Kirsty Wark the BBC Newsnight presenter and speakers included Alistair Darling ( now the Chancellor of the Exchequer), plus speakers from Rolls Royce, Astra Zeneca and Manchester University amongst others. More information can be found on the Agency's website.

De Bono Big Think Week
The opening of the Foundation's offices was also celebrated with The Big Think Week: five days of  De Bono Thinking Systems courses, held at the Manchester Business Park for business and education leaders.
